Euro-2019 in small pool: Manaudou in silver on 50 m eight months after his return, beaten by Morozov

Florent Manaudou won the silver medal in the 50m at the European Short Course Championships, beaten by Russian Vladimir Morozov, eight months after his return to swimming and seven months of the Olympics 2020, Friday in Glasgow (Scotland ).

Manaudou (29) was second in 20 sec 66, 26 hundredths behind Morozov (20.40). Before the Scottish competition, his last appearance in the French team went back to the 2016 Olympics. He then left the basins for two and a half years to practice handball, before diving again in April, with the ambition to reclaim the Olympic gold 50 m next summer in Tokyo.
