T-pro works to create conversation groups between cancer patients and their relatives. Miguel was also the initiator of the patient association Livsgnistan, which is run by volunteers who have experience in cancer themselves and by professional healthcare specialists. The aim is to create a social meeting place where both affected and close relatives can meet and support each other.

- At the inauguration of Life Spark, Dad stood there in front of everyone and told him that he had cancer, that it was chronic but that he was feeling pretty good. I thought it was so strong. He shared it not only with the family but with everyone, says Miguel's daughter Monica Månsson.

Had a great time together

- I think it's important that you can talk about having cancer and showing it to others. We had a great time together, the whole family, she continues.

Monica knows how important the participation is, not only for her own part but also for others. For 19 years she has worked with cancer and is a specialist trained nurse in oncology. Every day she sees how important relatives are, throughout the illness process, where the whole existence is put to an end.

- There will be many doctor visits, a lot of information to keep organized. You may not understand everything that is said, and if you have relatives with you, then everyone can hear a small part where. At the oncologist, we see every day how important relatives are, and always encourage relatives to join. And we meet so much joy of life, says Monica.
