Four dead and six wounded in a "mass" shooting in a family home in the US city of Fresno, California, as confirmed by the Police Department, which initially reported "several" dead on Sunday night.
The attackers, who were not yet identified and fled, broke into a house where a family with friends watched a football game.
The police still investigate the motive.
"We found several dead individuals in the backyard , we received information from several victims," said Lt. Bill Dooley, a police spokesman, who said the condition of some of the injured is critical.
"This was undoubtedly a massive shooting with multiple casualties." "We currently have about nine individuals who were shot ."
Local media indicated that at least four people died, but Dooley did not specify the number of deaths.
