He explained to «Emirates Today» that the risks of the overturning of small and medium-sized fishing boats, as a result of high waves and disturbance of the sea, and the collision of fishermen boats with oil tankers, or oil installations, or breakwater from rocks, or collision with another boat, and the suspension of boat engines fishing tools for boats In addition, the boat is not tolerated in case of catching large quantities of fish, and the lack of vision due to fog, which leads to the fisherman to lose track and return to the port.

He added that the association warns fishermen constantly not to land on their own, and the need to take the necessary precautions and attention and access to the weather forecast through the Meteorological Center to know the weather of the sea to avoid exposure to any risks.

He explained that some fishermen deliberately descend the sea with calm waves at dawn in bad weather in order to catch large quantities of fish because of the reluctance of most fishermen to practice fishing due to rainy weather, without taking into account the warnings issued by the competent authorities.

He added that the Coast Guard always warns fishermen not to enter a distance of 300 miles to 500 nautical miles in case of bad weather and disturbance of the sea, pointing out that some fishermen who have a large fishing boat with two engines are able to land at sea at dawn and face weather hazards during the relatively calm waves -Return to the port in the morning.

He explained that fishermen should not risk their lives and follow the instructions and directives issued by the competent authorities.
