UNF has conducted the survey since 2012, and in this year's survey, 223 of the country's 290 municipalities participated. The result is based on seven questions that the sobriety association has asked about young people's influence in the municipality, the access to sober meeting places and what efforts the municipality puts in at festivals with high alcohol consumption.

Over half get rejected

In the survey, 84 percent of municipalities stated that they are good or very good at offering young people a good night life. At the same time, this year's results show that only 43 percent of municipalities get approved.

Tranås was graded 4.3 on a five-grade scale where three are approved.

- It is important that there are sober meeting places outside of school and home, where we young people get a chance to develop and influence our own leisure time. Even though Tranås is well placed, there are still many opportunities for improvement, says Henrik Yxing, a spokesman for UNF in the Jönköping district in a press release.

Jönköping County ranks 12th among the country's 21 counties with a rating of 2.8.
