Former Sky Cycling doctor Richard Freeman accused former team boss Shane Sutton of being a "driver" by his lawyer's voice, which he strongly denied on Tuesday in the Manchester Medical Court.

Sutton, who was also the technical director of the British cycling team until his resignation in 2016, is the one for whom Freeman illegally ordered testosterone in 2011, because of his appearance before the disciplinary body.

"Our assertion about Mr. Sutton is that he is a serial and inveterate liar," said Mary O'Rourke, Freeman's lawyer.

"He is a driver with a history of doping," she continued.

Sutton, who was accused of discriminatory remarks when he was head of the British cycling team and then cleared eight of the nine charges, denied having "harassed" Freeman to buy 30 testogel bags. to cure erection problems.

In the afternoon, the former leader was able to come to the bar and deny all the accusations of doping and any intimate problem.

"You say I can not have an erection, my wife wants to testify and say you're a damn liar," he told the lawyer.

After questioning her about her knowledge of doping practices by Floyd Landis or Lance Armstrong using the Testogel, Mary O'Rourke claimed to have an anonymous witness claiming that Sutton kept testosterone vials in one of her residences near Birmingham ( center) and that he had seen him give injections.

Sutton called the charge "laughable".

- "Gutter methods" -

"If I ordered them for me, I would have no trouble telling you," even suggesting that he was ready to switch to the lie detector and file a defamation suit.

Sutton ended up leaving the courtroom, exhausted.

"I waited two days to come here, I told the truth, I answered your questions, supported your harassment, and my children suffered your gutter methods," he said.

"I will go back to my little hole in Spain, enjoy my retirement and sleep at night knowing full well that I did not order these patches".

"I hope that one day he will confess, he's a good guy, a good friend, I have no quarrel with him," he said about Freeman, whom he claims to have repeatedly covered when he showed up drunk at work.

A doctor of Britain's cycling team and Sky from 2009 to 2017, Freeman was charged with serious misconduct by the General Council of British Doctors, who think he had bought the Testogel to administer it to athletes and improve their performance on the bike, before lying to hide his misdeed.

Freeman could be forfeited his doctor's license if he is found guilty.

For counsel for the Council, Sutton is only a "scapegoat" behind which Freeman tries to hide.

In any case, the court decided earlier in the day to allow questions about Sutton's erection problems to be heard at the public hearings, and any other possible personal medical questions to be asked in closed session.
