National Assembly spokesman Sébastien Chenu accused Thursday Emmanuel Macron of being a "communitarian" "fascinated by the Anglo-Saxon model" which "deconstructs our republican landmarks".

The day after the publication of the meeting of the President of the Republic in Current Values on Immigration and the veil, the deputy of the North denounced France 2 "his communication", reproaching him for "a wink to the right to utter remarks of a soft centrist and hysterize the left bobo ".

"He can continue to declaim in Current Values, the problem is that in reality, he does the opposite," he laments, inviting him to "close Salafist mosques", to "forbid the Muslim Brotherhood "or" do not support elected officials who are related to the Muslim Brotherhood ".

"I fight with all my strength against communitarianism," repeated in the weekly head of state, while refusing to "fall into the trap communitarian = islam".

"Emmanuel Macron is a communitarian, he tells us besides, he says: + Me, I have nothing to do in the public space +, (...) + the State must dispense with intervene in the public space on these topics + ", accuses Mr. Chenu. For the deputy RN, "it's very dangerous" because the President of the Republic "deconstructs our republican landmarks".

The head of state is, according to him, "fascinated by the Anglo-Saxon model", "it is an economic liberal and a communitarian on the societal" for which "society must itself manage all its problems", like street prayers or burkini, "without the intervention of the public sphere".

"He is very wrong and in addition it is not the French tradition," deplores the deputy RN.
