“An embassy note was sent to the Estonian Foreign Ministry expressing deep concern over what happened,” the embassy’s website said in a statement.

It is noted that embassy staff contacted representatives of the volost in which the incident occurred.

It is also reported that Russian diplomats held a substantive conversation on this issue with representatives of local authorities in Taebla, where the disappeared monument is located.
