"The information disseminated about allegedly stopping the investigation of the proceedings on crimes committed in connection with the mass protests in 2013-2014 is untrue and manipulative," the department’s press service said in a statement.

It is noted that the investigation of cases of "Maidan" is a "priority" for the Prosecutor General.

It is specified that until November 20, all proceedings on the "Maidan" will be transferred by the department to the relevant pre-trial investigation authorities.

So, “Economic episodes of criminal proceedings surrounding the former president Viktor Yanukovych” will be sent to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), and “proceedings on executions on the Maidan and other violent crimes” to the State Bureau of Investigation (GBR).

Earlier, the First Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Vitaliy Kasko announced the planned transfer of criminal cases about the "Maidan" to the State Security Bureau, NABU, SBR and the National Police of Ukraine in connection with the expiration of the powers of the investigation by the Prosecutor General.
