Germany's Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) set the fastest time of the 2nd free practice session of the Mexican Grand Prix, 18th round of the Formula 1 World Championship, Friday at the Rodríguez Brothers circuit (4.304 km) in Mexico City .

He was ahead of the Dutchman Max Verstappen, winner of this race in 2017 and 2018, and his team-mate at Ferrari, Monaco's Charles Leclerc.

Next are the two Mercedes of Finland's Valtteri Bottas and Briton Lewis Hamilton, the only two riders to still be crowned world champions this year. Hamilton is 64 points clear of Bottas and must score 14 points more than his teammate to be crowned Sunday for a sixth time.
