During the food inspection conducted on September 4 this year, the restaurant failed at all checkpoints.

The cleaning in the room was neglected as, among other things, there were dried pieces of dough at the dough machine, dirty pallets used as shelves on the floor and a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the kitchen - but also a bed in the pantry.

- It's very rare, I would say. It's not an accommodation, says food inspector Stefan Johansson.

Stefan Johansson was not in control himself but believes that the staff at the restaurant told his colleague that they used the mattress to rest on.

- This is not really our mission, but it is not a hostel. There are other requirements for accommodation.

Possible vegetables

At the "cleaning and equipment" point, the restaurant also failed because of dirty refrigerators containing moldy vegetables and a soap-free sink with a dirty cloth towel hanging next to it.

In addition, there were too high temperatures in some canteens in the refrigerator counter and incorrect allergy information. Personnel must have stated that when gluten-free food is cooked, accessories are taken from the usual chill, but at the check it was covered with contaminated wheat flour.

In the past two years, deficiencies regarding cleaning and personal hygiene have been noted in food checks at the restaurant.

- I have been there for a long time, when there was no bed in the pantry but there were shortcomings in the cleaning, says Stefan Johansson.
