The decision was taken at a vote in the UN General Assembly.

According to the results of the vote, Venezuela gained 105 votes from 193 countries.

The Council includes Brazil, Libya, Mauritania, Sudan, Namibia, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, the Marshall Islands, Armenia, Poland, Germany and the Netherlands.

At the end of September, delegations from eight countries, including the United States and Colombia, left the UN General Assembly Hall during a speech by Venezuelan Vice President Delsey Rodriguez.
