The American vice president, Mike Pence, and the US secretary of state, Mike Pompeo in the afternoon met with Turkish head of state, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The meeting lasted an hour and 40 minutes and saw the presence as 'mediator' of James Jeffrey, the former US ambassador to Ankara and Donald Trump's current special envoy for Syria and the anti-ISIS Coalition.

Pence: agreement reached for a ceasefire
Mike Pence announced a ceasefire in Syria in agreement with Turkey.

"120-hour truce for the withdrawal of the Kurds"
Turkey and the United States have reached an agreement for a 120-hour ceasefire in Syria in which the US will favor the evacuation of Kurdish fighters from the security zone agreed with Ankara. US Vice President Mike Pence said after meeting with Erdogan.

Turkish defense: "neutralized" 702 militiamen Ypg
The Turkish Defense Ministry issued a statement announcing that 702 Ypg Kurdish militiamen have been "neutralized" by the Turkish forces. "Neutralized" is a term used by Ankara in press releases to indicate terrorists killed, injured and rendered harmless or captured after surrender.
