The agents of the Civil Guard of the Sierra de Madrid have received this Thursday a communication that suspended all the permits they had planned for next Monday, October 21. The measure affects all civil guards who are assigned to posts near the Valley of the Fallen.

This order has been interpreted by the agents as an extraordinary measure taken before the exhumation of Franco's remains for that day, Monday, October 21, and his subsequent transfer to the Mingorubian cemetery.

All agents in the area will not be able to deliver that day and will be available to the controls.

Also, this Wednesday an operational meeting was held where agents in the area were informed that from next Sunday evening they would begin to control strategic points of the Guadarrama and El Escorial roads before the imminent transfer of the remains of the dictator.

Government sources have assured that they want to complete the entire process on the same day and have already pointed out for days that Monday 21 is the day that charges the most weight to start the exhumation.

According to the agreement approved by the last Council of Ministers, the Executive must notify the family with a minimum of 48 hours so that, if they wish, they are present at all times.
