The Ras Al Khaimah Misdemeanor Court yesterday reviewed the case of two security guards at a hotel nightclub accused of assaulting a foreign man after he fabricated problems inside the club after drinking alcohol.The first defendant said the victim asked him 100,000 dirhams in return for waiving the case.

The Public Prosecutor in Ras Al Khaimah charged the two guards with assaulting the victim and beating him in the body. The two defendants denied the charges against them. The first defendant stated that the victim was drinking alcohol inside the nightclub, and he caused problems inside the hotel. The need to remove him from the cabaret to ensure the safety of the rest of the tourists.

He added that he and the second defendant carried the victim and kept him away from the cabaret, but he resisted and assaulted them with beatings and insults, pointing out that the surveillance cameras monitored the incident, and can be used by the competent authorities for details of what happened.

He pointed out that he and the second defendant had done their job to preserve the safety of the nightclub clients and remove anyone who made problems or drink large quantities of alcohol, saying that the victim had asked him for 100,000 dirhams in return for waiving the communication.

For his part, the victim's lawyer told the court that his client was beaten by the defendants, and that he had a medical report on the injuries that occurred in his body as a result of being beaten, pointing out that the defendants carried him from the nightclub away from the surveillance cameras and beat him while he was Drunk.

The lawyer demanded civil compensation for his client for the injuries suffered, and punish the defendants with the maximum penalty, according to the indictment indictment.

In turn, the defense lawyers reported that his clients did their work and did not beat the victim, adding that the victim assaulted the accused under the influence of alcohol.

He explained that those at the scene reported that his clients carried the victim in a drunken state to his home, and that he went to another nightclub to spend his evening until 5 am, then went to the police station to file a complaint against his clients.

He added that if the victim was beaten, he claimed, he immediately went to the police station, not to another nightclub, asking to listen to the witnesses of the exile and to address the Ras Al Khaimah police to obtain a copy of the surveillance cameras in question and to verify the victim's statements about his exposure. The court set a date for the verdict.
