It is the ninth year that the Cultural Festival is organized in the municipality. From the beginning it was ten days, but in recent years the program has grown to 16 days. This year between October 11 and 27.

This year's program includes some 50 different events and eight exhibitions. Most organized by Kristinehamn's association life and non-profit forces.

Dance, knife blades and theater

First up is a play exhibition with Alfons Åberg for children in preschool and lower secondary age to play in Alfons environments. During the weekend and on several other occasions during the Cultural Festival, for example, adults can learn more about how to make pattern-selected knife blades. A manufacturing technique that is the same as for Japanese samurai swords.

It is also offered, among other things, at a theater with the Games Society and for those who do not want to sit still a "dance-along" with Kristinehamn folk dance or workshop with the dance group Freestyle Phanatix, where anyone who wants to try street dance and breakdance.

Opportunity to show off

Kulturkalaaset is primarily aimed at residents in the municipality, but is open to all who are interested.

- It is usually appreciated and at the same time it is an opportunity for the municipality's various associations to showcase their activities, says Hannah Frisell, who put together the program.
