- On a positive note, it would be a great help if there was a law on ID-labeling, then you could find the cats' owners. It would also be good if you can castrate cats that go outside, says Elin Yngvesson, vice chairman of the animal shelter Fiahemmet in Norrköping.

Where there are at present 30 abandoned cats and they have not become fewer with the new law of April 1st saying that it is forbidden to abandon their animals.

100,000 homeless cats
