According to him, the relations of the countries are developing first of all, since the cooperation between them "is based on universally recognized norms of international law, free from ideological blinkers, has a valuable character and is not directed against anyone."

“We do not impose each other our approaches and values, much less we do not interfere in internal affairs,” Lavrov said.

He emphasized that at present the dialogue between Russia and China is “mutually respectful communication of two equal partners”, and “in terms of mutual trust, stability and depth of cooperation, it even surpasses other formal alliances”.

Earlier, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced the intention of the Chinese side to develop relations with Russia in all areas.
