The beggars call her "Momma Elke", but she doesn't want all the focus to be on her.
The association Lyktan offers the beggars warm food a couple of evenings a week, and during the coldest nights the members of the association have arranged housing for those who otherwise sleep outside.
Elke Textor sees it as a matter of course to help others who are disadvantaged.
- I can't say to anyone who has started drowning: "wait until they have built a boat," she says.
She herself does not think that there has been any change in the attitude of the wolverines towards the beggars, but points out that she mainly has contact with those who are benevolent and who hears to help.
