During the past week, the same boy has deviated twice. Earlier in September, the boy had also disappeared, then for a full four days in the Haparanda area.

Now that the boy was missing again on Wednesday evening, the police immediately put in all resources. This is because of the past history, and that the boy moves to the forest in a season when it is increasingly chilly.

"I have deployed all available patrols, overtime people and dog drivers," said David Levy, police officer on duty.

However, police helicopters could not be deployed, partly because it was used in another search during the evening.

The police want to get information from the public about the missing boy.
