Kiev allowed the introduction of peacekeepers in the Donbass in the failure of "Minsk"
Ukraine considers the possibility of introducing a peacekeeping mission in the Donbass as one of the steps in the situation if it is not possible to achieve progress in the implementation of the Minsk agreements. This was stated by Foreign Minister Vadim Priestayko.
“This is our proposal - to try to solve our situation on the basis of the Minsk agreements that are concluded. If we fail and we are completely reluctant to move forward, one of the options for the next steps will be a peacekeeping mission, ”the Minister quoted Interfax as saying.
Earlier, Priestayko said that he had agreed to the "Steinmeier formula" for granting Donbass special status.
As the Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky noted, he is cautious about the UN peacekeepers in the Donbass.
According to him, they can be deployed only on the Ukrainian-Russian state border.
