150 music teachers from all over the country gather for two days in Växjö. The Convention is part of the Make Music Matter project, with the aim of school pupils to develop musical creativity and entrepreneurship, and to allow digital tools to democratize music teaching.

Göran Nikolausson from Linnaeus University is the project manager for the convention and he likes what he sees.

- We have a national school project that is linked to this, we have opened a web portal and collaborated with the Abba museum and we have a song that we start from called "I have a dream".

Inspired by the Swedish music wonder

In order to work with entrepreneurship, examples from the artist world have been used to help, such as Abba, Dennis Pop and Aviichi, which have meant a lot to Swedish music production. The hope is that the teachers who will be able to use their newly acquired knowledge on Monday when they return to their classrooms.

- It feels fantastic to see so many music teachers who have come here from southern Sweden and all the way up to Haparanda in the north.
