The tribes of the central region in the province of Abyan, southern Yemen, public al-Nafir, in defense of what it called "land, display and dignity" under the banner of the Republic of Yemen and the legitimate government and support the national army.

The tribes called on the United Nations, the Security Council and international organizations to investigate what they said were massacres that killed hundreds of members of the National Army and the Popular Resistance following the UAE air strikes.

The final statement of the tribal meeting called on the Saudi-UAE alliance to apologize for the UAE's description of Yemeni army members as terrorists.

The meeting condemned the brutal shelling of members of the National Army and officers by the UAE, and called on the coalition to investigate what happened.

The tribes of the south, which belong to the leaders of the UAE-backed Transitional Council and its members, to determine a position towards the actions committed against the leaders and sons of the central region of Abyan, from raiding and burning their homes and imprisonment for identity and mobilization to fight in the land of Abyan.

Move on the ground
For their part, Yemeni sources said that the tribes of Abyan province began to move on the ground and arrange to stop the expansion of the UAE-backed transitional council in the city from which President of the country, Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi.

She told Al Jazeera Net that the tribesmen have already managed to regain control of some areas and sites in the districts of Shakra and Zanzibar in Abyan, and have created checkpoints in those towns to prevent the advance of the security belt forces of the Transitional Council.

This comes at a time when some of the loyalists of the southern transition announced the mobilization and public mobilization to mobilize fighters from tribes loyal to them, for what they called the decisive battle decisive with the legitimate government forces.

This came hours after Saudi Arabia issued a statement confirming its support for the legitimate government and its rejection of the events of Aden, where she said it would not accept any attempt to create a new reality in southern Yemen using force, stressing the need to withdraw from all government headquarters in Aden and engage in the Jeddah dialogue.

UAE responds
In a related development, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash said that the UAE stands with Saudi Arabia in its call for a Yemeni dialogue.

"Our brotherly Saudi Arabia is leading the coalition (to support legitimacy in Yemen) with patience and skill," Gargash said in a tweet on Saturday.

He added that "the UAE's response to the call for firmness and solidified regional partnership and good," pointing out that "the common challenges facing us in the hands of Saudi Arabia, and stand with them in its call for dialogue, as we stood with them in its call to resolve."

Saudi Arabia has renewed its call for the Yemeni parties (the legitimacy and the Southern Transitional Council) to dialogue in Jeddah and discuss the issue of Aden, which witnessed more than a week of violent clashes between the two parties.

The Kingdom announced in a statement last Thursday that it was following the latest developments in Aden, and regretted the outbreak of sedition between the brothers there, stressing that any attempt to destabilize Yemen is a threat to the security and stability of Saudi Arabia and the region.
