This is big money, about SEK 200 billion will be invested in several large wind power projects in the four northernmost counties in the next 25 years.

By getting the various wind power companies to set aside money for loans for small businesses in the inland where the wind farms are established, it is believed that it can be an injection for the enterprise at the same time as it will be goodwill for the wine power companies. How much of the 200 billion to be set aside is not clear yet, but Garantia has made clear to Vattenfall.

- Then we work on trying to convince other wind power companies to put money into us so we can lend to small businesses in the places where the wind turbines are erected, says Ann-Mari Sandberg, board member of Garantia.

Loans to various industries

Business can be done in several different industries and does not have to do with wind power. The loans that Guarantee provides are in the range of SEK 50,000 to 300,000.

Magnus Hedberg runs a web company in Åsele.

- For me it was absolutely crucial to get a loan through Garantia, then I could start my limited company and work more with marketing, says Magnus Hedberg.

- Neither politics nor the business community have understood what opportunity has now arisen. Not only can we sit and watch, but we have to do one of these opportunities to get wind power companies to leave parts of the profits in the region where they build, says Ann-Mari Sandberg.
