A six-year-old German girl died last night after suffering a pre-drowning on the beach in Langre (Cantabria). A surfer and a Red Cross lifeguard, who remained on the beach although the surveillance service had finished at 7.30 pm, found the child outside the breakwater offshore and took her out of the water to try to revive her.

The Emergency Management Center 112 of the Government of Cantabria received the warning call after 20.20 hours and mobilized a medical ambulance equipped with Advanced Life Support of 061, in addition to activating a large device.

He alerted firefighters of Santander, together with agents of the Local Police of Ribamontán al Mar, agents of the Civil Guard and the rescue team helitransported from the Executive for the difficult access to the beach and in case the emergency transfer of the minor to a hospital, as in the end it happened.
