The United Arab Emirates-backed southern transitional council said its president, Aidroos al-Zubaidi, headed a delegation to Jeddah Tuesday in response to an invitation from Saudi Arabia to attend a summit on the crisis in Aden and the formation of the government.

The council said in a note that the delegation consists of five members are Nasser Al-Khabaji, Adnan Al-Kaf, Ali Al-Kathiri and Abdul Rahman Al-Yafie, and headed by Aidroos Al-Zubaidi.

According to Saudi media, the delegation of the Southern Transitional Council will participate in the dialogue with the legitimate government under the auspices of Saudi Arabia.

The Reuters news agency quoted a government official earlier that the forthcoming dialogue will discuss the amendment of the government of President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi to include members of the Transitional Council to end the crisis.

The Hadi government postponed the summit two days ago because it required the withdrawal of the transitional council from the sites it had seized in Aden recently and end the "coup", which was supported by the UAE.
