The criminal court in Fujairah has tried a maid case accused of deliberately burning a room in the home of her sponsor, after pouring a flammable material into a cupboard filled with fabrics, and opened a lighter with the intention of burning the house.
The victim said that he was surprised that large parts of the house were burned without any injuries to the family members, but that the material losses that resulted from it are great. Against the housekeeper, which all the evidence appeared to refer to, demanding the court to tighten the penalty for the act that almost killed family members because of him.
While the defendant denied when the court asked her, and confirmed that it did not do this, but the fire occurred without any interference from them, and she was surprised by him like all members of the family. The court postponed the verdict, pending the completion of all hearings.
