The circus shows will be outdoors in the center of Linköping city center. No classic circus tent or animals will be involved during the festival.

- This is a new circus. These are the classic circus disciplines but in a whole new context, so it will be something very different and super cool, says Eva Lundgren Stenbom, project manager Nycirkus Öst.

World premiere for new performance

One of the bigger names that will be participating in the three days is Cirkus Cirkör. Their new acrobatic performance "Bloom" will have a world premiere during the festival.

- It's a super explosion of circus acrobatics and classical music. We want to do a show that talks a lot about the joy and love of the circus and that should be inspiring to watch, says Sade Kamppila, director of Circus Circus.

Synth-punk from the 80's

Some of the others participating in the festival are Norwegian Ninjas & Friends. They describe their show themselves as an 80s synth-punk circus based on cartoon series from the 80s.

Norwegian Ninjas also hopes to leave an impression on the audience with their fast-paced show.

- We want the audience after the show to leave, drink full, party all night and laugh all weekend, says Elise Bjerkelund Reine from Norwegian Ninjas.
