The command and control centers in the Operations Department of the Central Operations Department of Abu Dhabi Police received 32,435 calls and communications from the public throughout the Emirate of Abu Dhabi during the Eid Al-Adha days.The General Directorate of Civil Defense in Abu Dhabi confirmed that there were no major fire incidents during the Eid.

Brigadier Nasser Al Maskari, Director of Operations Department at the Central Operations Sector at Abu Dhabi Police, said that the teams are ready to receive reports and calls and coordinate with the concerned authorities to reach the scene of the accident as soon as possible.

He stressed the high number of calls received to the centers, pointing out that most of them calls traffic accidents ranging from simple traffic congestion or some health emergencies.

He called on the public to cooperate with the awareness initiatives implemented by the Abu Dhabi Police Security Information Department to introduce police services, intensify public awareness activities, and not hesitate to call 999, in case of any emergency they may encounter at any time.

The Operations Department receives reports and calls around the clock at all times and is concerned with providing the best and highest quality services to the public and coordinating with the concerned authorities to reach the emergency cases as soon as possible.

In a related context, the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Abu Dhabi intensified its efforts in the areas of awareness and prevention of summer fires, taking necessary measures in various establishments and places, such as houses, factories and shops, stressing that no fire incidents during the Eid Al-Adha holiday on the Emirate level, except for minor fires It was dealt with, and there were no casualties.

She praised the public cooperation in the application of prevention and safety requirements in order to avoid accidents, noting the efforts of the Media and Public Relations Department of the General Directorate of Civil Defense in organizing awareness programs including guidelines and preventive principles to reduce the spread of summer fires in general.

The Department urged cooperation to spread preventive education, aimed at reducing the spread of fires in public places, and the collection of waste and construction waste that often contains highly flammable materials, pointing out the importance of preventing fires caused by excessive electrical loads.

She stressed the need not to overload the electrical power and electrical outlets, warning of the wrong use of devices and technical equipment such as the operation of suction fans in the kitchens for long periods of time exposing them to excessive heat and then ignition. She stressed that the centers are working around the clock, and are ready to intervene in emergency situations, pointing to the role of the elements of «Civil Defense» in the implementation of awareness campaigns on several sectors, including universities, schools, institutions and industrial areas, to strengthen the necessary safety and prevention requirements.
