• Internal crisis. We can Andalusia propose to separate from Pablo Iglesias to "execute different policies"
  • Elections 2019. We can Andalusia rejects Pablo Iglesias's proposal to co-govern with the PSOE

The Anticapitalist group, an internal current that controls the direction of Podemos Andalucía , has designed a roadmap to definitively break the purple party and create what they call an "independent political subject" of Pablo Iglesias' organization in the style of other organizations. from the political spectrum of Podemos as Barcelona in Comú or Más Madrid, the party with which Íñigo Errejón appeared in the elections to the Community of Madrid.

Teresa Rodríguez, secretary general of Podemos in Andalusia, is in turn the visible head of the Anticapitalists sector in this community, from where the strategy is being designed to detach from Pablo Iglesias's party, with which the differences in recent times are Notorious and public.

According to a document prepared by the Anticapitalist formation, the "road map" - that's what they call it - for the progressive rupture with Podemos by Podemos Andalucía will be carried out starting from the Political Conference scheduled for early October, which will be proposed and will vote on a proposal that clearly points to independence.

We can Andalusia plans to hold its III General Assembly in November. But in Anticapitalistas they understand that it is "unlikely" that from the party they will be allowed to raise the debate and vote on the independence of the Andalusian organization in that conclave. Therefore, they intend to force that pronouncement in another previous meeting, where the voting of the proposal is face-to-face (which allows greater control), and the result of it is binding, so that the debate has been more or less tied before Upon arriving at the Assembly, where the new management will be elected with the mandate to carry out the process of rupture that, now, will be submitted to a vote of all registered.

The "road map"

In the internal document of Anticapitalists to which EL MUNDO has had access, the strategy in favor of independence "in three parts" is described: "A first face-to-face in political conference mode with documents, debate, amendments and binding decision on political line; a second online vote on the political line; and a third with online election of the address ". The drivers of this road map consider that Podemos "no longer calls for unity around it or serves to attract more people." But they also do not find it convenient for Podemos Andalucía to be dissolved within Adelante Andalucía (the brand with which they presented themselves to the autonomous elections by the hand of IU), especially since they do not trust the influence that the Communist Party can exert. "That's why we need a new subject," the document adds: "It would be an operation similar to Más Madrid, but from the address, trying to hegemonize and from positions of rupture and not adaptation." Although the Anticapitalists contemplate several options depending on how the political situation evolves, the sense of the proposal abounds in the need to "convert Podemos Andalucía into an independent subject of Podemos, which participates in Adelante Andalucía and who confederates with the other state actors ".

For the moment, the steps publicly announced by Podemos and Adelante Andalucía are in line with the document. In fact, Podemos Andalucía has convened its first political conference, with the title "Andalucía, horizon 2023", to discuss the strategy of the coming years. As reported by the Efe agency on June 16, this meeting will discuss "the relationship with the social movements and the model of Podemos Andalucia that the registrants and decision-making bodies want."

The III Assembly of Podemos Andalucía scheduled for the month of November will end, in principle, the two mandates of Teresa Rodríguez in application of its own statutes, although, today, it is not ruled out that a green light can be given to a third term after consulting the bases.

In addition, Adelante Andalucía made a public statement recently addressed to the militants of the formations that comprise it and their voters announcing their commitment to strengthen the electoral alliance. Previously, Adelante Andalucía decided that his representative in the Senate, Esperanza Gómez , would join the group formed by leftist forces, including Más Madrid, detached from the Podemos brand and under the name of Confederal Left .
