“Now, unfortunately, we see how, under the pretext of combating vulnerabilities and“ bookmarks ”in IT products, there is an explicit“ squeezing ”of competitors from the market,” Khramov said.

One of the striking examples of such actions, he said, was the US economic sanctions against the Chinese telecommunications company Huawei and the Russian Kaspersky Lab.

The Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Russia emphasized that one of the main problems in countering hacker attacks remains the difficulty in determining the source of the attack.

“The introduction of manufacturers' responsibility for the security of their software and hardware can help solve this problem,” Khramov said.

At the same time, in his opinion, all interested parties should participate in ensuring information security, including companies, the scientific community and public organizations.

Khramov previously explained US allegations of cyber attacks by Washington’s desire to legalize military operations against "inconvenient countries."
