In June this year, 30 players from IBK Dalen went down to Singapore to play the biggest floor tournament in Asia, SG Floorball Open. It was then that discussions about a collaboration with the Moose Warriors club emerged.

And now IBK Dalen is joining the club from Singapore, which also changes its name to IBK Dalen Moose.

- It feels really exciting. We own a third of the club and will be involved in developing it. We also believe that it can strengthen the IBK Dalens brand, says Urban Karlsson, club director.

Bet no money

IBK Dalen does not go in with any money to become part-owner, however, they have signed an ownership agreement where they have certain obligations.

- We will be involved in developing the club and bring our knowledge of floorball when it comes to tactics, technology and coaches, says Urban Karlsson.

Player seasons do not coincide and there will be some kind of player exchange between the clubs. Right now, two players from Singapore are in Umeå to train with Dalen, and next summer there are plans to send down four players from Umeå to play with the team in Singapore.

- There are already many players who want to go, we have to choose who can go, says Urban Karlsson.

"Takes no financial risk"

However, the players in Singapore are at a significantly lower level compared to the players in the IBK Valley.

What benefits do you have in this?

- In the long term, make money that we can use to develop Dalens business. We take no financial risk with this. The investment is in the form of time and commitment, says Urban Karlsson.
