The Sharjah Misdemeanor Court has tried the case of an Asian young man accused of beating a person and filming the crime on a mobile phone with the help of his friends to demonstrate his power in front of others.
The court heard the victim's statement, who confirmed that he was walking in the street and was surprised in the presence of the accused accompanied by his friends and beat him, and could not resist them and fell on the ground, pointing out that he discovered after the incident that a person filmed the incident in cooperation with the accused and his friends, to show their strength in front of others .
He added that he was able to get a video showing the attack of the accused and his friends on it, where the video shows that a person with them was filming the incident to show their strength in front of others, pointing out that he went to the hospital and informed the police about the incident, and in turn was able to arrest those involved, and enclose documents and a folder in which the video and what The accused is assaulted and photographed with the help of other persons to the Public Prosecution and the police.
The court confronted the defendant with the charge and denied it, saying that the victim first beat him, after which there was a clash between them and they exchanged assault.
The court postponed the case to a hearing on August 20 to present the defense and call witnesses.
