Despite his 91-year-old son, the Iraqi Kurdish lifter Zaher Azizi still performs his daily sports exercises for nearly seven decades.

"Exercise and healthy nutrition are the most important secrets to prolong human life and prevent disease," Azizi said.

"For about 70 years I have been practicing sports for two hours a day, and I am very interested in what I eat."

As for the details of his daily activity, he explains that he starts with a number of warm-up exercises, then goes out for several kilometers, sometimes heading for the rise of some hills and slopes.

He notes that he practices his daily exercises in summer and winter, meets all his personal needs, and takes short distances for twenty minutes before bed.

As for the nature of the meals he was eating, he stressed that he was keen on eating natural foods, as well as drink five glasses of cow's milk every morning.

"I like to eat honey, walnuts and almonds for breakfast, and to eat meat at lunch."

Azizi said that he does not suffer from any diseases, and that he continues his work with the barber profession he inherited from his father since 1957.
