“What we saw today is an attempt to intimidate, it’s obviously an act of terrorism, aimed at undermining our free press, the leaders of this country through violence,” the mayor said.

According to police, in addition to an improvised explosive device, an envelope with a white powder was sent to the building.

It is noted that at the moment there is no threat of an explosion.

Earlier it became known that former US President Barack Obama and the family of politicians Hillary and Bill Clinton were sent bombs. At the same time, on October 23, an explosive device was found in the mailbox of billionaire George Soros’s house.

It was also reported that arriving at the Time Warner Center, where the editors of CNN are located, in New York, the parcel with the bomb was destined to former CIA chief John Brennan.
