“In its idea, the law looks logical and consistent with the principles of justice. Of course, it fits into the logic of removing self-employed citizens from the shadows. In this sense, there are no special objections. But the practical side is always important, namely, how much this law was calculated. Whether really among this category of “non-working, but able-bodied”, the majority are precisely the self-employed. Here it is necessary, as it seems to me, to check everything, ”he said.

Zudin also noted that “it is important to provide for those cases when the unemployed will inevitably fall under this law”.

“This, of course, cannot be allowed, because it will be perceived as a manifestation of a fairly frank social injustice. And finally, it is necessary, at least in the near future, to assess how effective the administration of this law will be. Is it possible that we will create a law that could worsen the situation of some Russian citizens? If all these risks are taken into account, then, indeed, the adoption of this law can only be welcomed and it will really work as a tool to legalize the self-employed part of Russian citizens, ”he concluded.

Earlier in Russia they proposed to penalize a number of categories of non-working citizens for non-payment of insurance contributions to the Pension Fund, the Mandatory Medical Insurance Fund and the Social Insurance Fund.

It is noted that the initiative affects only healthy people of working age who do not officially work anywhere.
