The inhabitants of Yvetot, deprived of drinking water since Friday, can again consume it safely, announced Wednesday, October 24, 2018 the prefecture in a statement.

Friday, the prefecture of Seine-Maritime had invited the 12 000 inhabitants of Yvetot and several neighborhoods of bordering communes, Saint-Clair-sur-les-Monts, Sainte-Marie-des-Champs, Auzebosc and Valliquerville, to "ne do not consume tap water for drinking, nor for washing teeth, nor for preparing food ".

This Wednesday, October 24, 2018, the results of analyzes led the prefecture and the Regional Health Agency (ARS) to announce the lifting of this precautionary measure.

Several thousand bottles of mineral water were distributed to residents between Saturday and Wednesday.
