Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman al-Thani said the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) had proved unable to resolve its own disputes.

He added during a session of the World Economic Forum in Davos that Qatar is going through a conflict with three Gulf countries that paralyzed the ability of the Council to contribute to peace.

He pointed out that the GCC is a source of stability in the event of union, but whether each country alone, then they will not have the power.
