According to Maduro, Pence violated "all the rules of the game."

Earlier it was reported that Pence held telephone talks with the head of the opposition National Assembly of Venezuela, Juan Guaido.

During the conversation, he stated that the United States supported the National Assembly.

Subsequently, Venezuelan Vice-President Delsi Rodriguez accused her American counterpart of interfering in the internal affairs of the country, including noting the intention of the United States "to provoke right-wing extremist forces into a coup d'état."
