Lavrov and Zarif at the meeting in Rome discussed SVPD

"An analysis of the state of affairs around the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan to resolve the situation around the Iranian nuclear program was carried out, the exchange of views on the Syrian settlement was continued," the text says.

Earlier, Lavrov had meetings with Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono and Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Syria, Staffan de Mistura.

During the meetings, issues of further development of bilateral relations were discussed, as well as problems of a Syrian settlement.
