“I confirmed that the IMF is ready to continue to support Ukraine together with other international partners in its efforts to carry out reforms under the leadership of President Poroshenko. I also stressed that Ukraine needs to accelerate reforms and move to faster economic growth, which is necessary for a steady increase in people's living standards, ”said Lagard in a statement published on the IMF website.

In turn, the press service of Poroshenko said that during the meeting "it was stressed that the state budget deficit, inflation, gold reserves correspond to the parameters stipulated by the documents of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund."

In early January, the IMF said that the Ukrainian economy is restoring growth.
