“The regional council decided to establish a moratorium on the public use of the Russian-language cultural product in any form on the territory of the Ternopil region until the complete cessation of the occupation of the territory of Ukraine,” the regional council website says.

They noted that the decision on the year of the OUN was made by deputies in connection with the 90th anniversary of the creation of the organization.

Earlier, deputies of the Zhytomyr Regional Council voted for a ban on public use in the region of the Russian-language cultural product.

Also, a similar ban was introduced in the Lviv region. In response, the Russian Foreign Ministry criticized the ban on the public use of the Russian language in Lviv. The former adviser to the former president of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, political analyst Oleg Soskin, in an interview with NSN, commented on the initiative of Lviv deputies.
