“We are talking about“ soft sanctions ”, that is, these are sanctions that now do not apply to areas such as energy, trade, and so on, but are aimed at specific individuals. The case is aimed, for example, at complicating the procedure for obtaining a visa or refusing to issue a visa, ”she said.

According to the minister, the issue of new sanctions was discussed at the level of EU ambassadors, and Austria intends to support them.

Earlier, Kneisl reported that the EU decided on new anti-Russian sanctions in connection with the incident in the Kerch Strait.
