Minister of Cabinet and Future Affairs Mohammed Abdullah Al-Gergawi said that the strategic partnership between the UAE and Egypt in modernizing the government's work represents a model of fruitful Arab cooperation that the UAE seeks to consolidate and strengthen under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, And the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Al-Gergawi said that the outcomes of the partnership between the UAE and Egypt confirmed that the modernization and development of government work and the integration of countries is a pivotal factor in advancing the future of future generations, improving the reality of societies and transferring the government work to advanced levels that contribute to efforts to build a better future for societies. That «the experience of the partnership proved that the Arab energies are able to lead the development and modernization efforts, and that the sharing of experience and knowledge is important to make the transition required in the future government action».

This came in conjunction with the conclusion of the Ministry of Cabinet and Future Affairs in the UAE and the Ministry of Planning, Follow-up and Administrative Reform in Egypt, the training program for capacity building of civil servants organized in Cairo.

The aim of the program, which came within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two countries, and attracted 500 members of Egyptian government ministries and agencies, is to strengthen government capacity and build future cadres capable of making a difference in government work and improving the level of procedures and transactions to achieve the goals and vision of Egypt 2030.

The program, which was organized at its second session, included several topics, including the most important challenges and future opportunities that institutions and individuals must deal with and benefit from in order to ensure continuous development of performance in various aspects of institutional work.

The program was carried out through three main sessions: Global Trends and Future Outlook, Change Management, Effective Change Model, Government Role to Meet Global Challenges, Key Success Principles and Strategic Management Elements.

The training sessions discussed the role of technology in the work of institutions, their impact on the speed and efficiency of providing government services, data collection and analysis tools to identify the needs of customers and the importance of developing detailed strategies to cope with technological developments through modernization of systems, infrastructure and tools and knowledge of government employees.

The sessions focused on the importance of managing change in institutions and the clarity of the employees' organizational objectives, which contributes to enhancing the spirit and work of the team. It also enhances performance indicators at the institutional and individual levels, and addresses mechanisms to stimulate excellence and encourage individuals to employ innovation in achieving government visions and strategies.

The strategic partnership for the modernization of government work between the UAE and Egypt includes organizing a series of initiatives and workshops throughout the year and forming joint task forces to implement the projects. The partnership witnessed the launch of the Egyptian Award for Excellence in Government, the holding of the Egyptian Conference on Government Excellence, and the organization of a number of events.
