Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) announced yesterday the completion of the second stage of the Green Charger initiative, which included the installation of 100 new green charger stations In order to encourage the public to acquire this kind of environmentally friendly vehicle.

In support of the comprehensive development plan for the Hatta region, the Authority added a rapid charger station at the Emirates National Oil Plant (ENOC), bringing the green shipper sites in Hatta to three locations. The company also cooperated with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to install the rapid shipper stations at the petrol stations which the company will soon open in Dubai.

Al Tayer pointed out that these incentives include the provision of electric vehicle charging service to registered users in the green shipper service of the Authority for free until the end of 2019, and exclusively at points of charge of electric vehicles within the scope of green charger stations in public places, Household freight.
