18 people were arrested Tuesday in Bordeaux and its surroundings, as part of the dismantling of a large drug trafficking, reports France Blue Gironde. A major police operation, involving 90 police officers, was conducted in the Grand Parc district, but also in the municipalities of Bruges and Floirac.

The survey was conducted for several months. Surveillance conducted since the fall of 2018 had revealed significant trafficking, including cocaine, cannabis, ecstasy and heroin.

Nearly 13,000 euros and a firearm seized. During the searches, the security forces seized 14 kilos of cannabis resin, 5 kilos of cannabis herb, 500 grams of cocaine, 3,800 sachets of subutex, 100 sachets of ecstasy, nearly 13,000 euros in cash , as well as a firearm and a large car.

16 people were indicted, of whom 12 were remanded.
