North Korea's Cheong Wa Dae vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Labor Party, Chung Kyung-taek, the People's Security Award, Park Gwang-ho, vice chairman of the Labor Party, and the head of the propaganda affairs agency, were appointed to the US sanctions on the 10th.

In the statement, the US Treasury Department announced that it has added three people, including Choi Young-sun, vice-chairman of the North Korean sanctions, in connection with the ongoing and serious human rights violations by North Korea.

"The United States continues to condemn the North Korean regime's human rights and fundamental freedoms," Treasury Secretary Stephen Mansushin said. "The administration will continue to take action against people abducted from the world."

The sanctions are in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 13687 on human rights abuses in North Korea.

Going to the US sanctions will freeze assets in the US and prevent transactions with American and American companies.
