A local Yemeni source said 19 civilians were killed in a bombardment of the Saudi-UAE alliance targeting a center for the collection of agricultural crops in the province of Hodeidah in western Yemen.

The source added that the raids targeted an area dedicated to the packaging and packaging of agricultural crops south of the city.

Medics and residents in the town of Beit al-Faqih (70 km south of Hodeida) said another 12 people were wounded in the shelling.

They added that the bombs fell on a factory for packing and packing agricultural crops in Al-Masaood neighborhood, and that the victims were factory workers.

A spokesman for the Saudi-UAE coalition, Colonel Turki al-Maliki, said the coalition was investigating the incident.

Maliki said that the coalition is taking reports of an attack "very seriously and will be fully investigated," adding that it would not be appropriate to make further statements under the ongoing investigation in this regard.

The coalition sometimes acknowledges "mistakes" and pledges to hold accountable anyone who kills civilians.

The Saudi-UAE alliance has been involved in Yemen's conflict since March 2015, and more than 10,000 people have been killed, most of them civilians, including more than 2,000 children.
