In the Russian city of St. Petersburg, a building of the university has partially collapsed. According to the agency Interfax, the civil protection of the Baltic Sea metropolis may have been included.

Several floors were collapsed in the late afternoon for reasons yet unclear, it said. At least 60 people were brought to safety. The building was previously repaired, several media reported.
