In the past, village clinics were small in area, had few types of drugs, and lacked medical equipment. The Nanzhuang Village Clinic Pharmacy stocks 122 kinds of medicines and is equipped with 26 kinds of common medical equipment. The medical environment has been significantly improved. Anti-cold medicines, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular medicines, digestive system medicines, urinary system medicines, gynecological medicines... everything is available, and various medicines are arranged in categories, with rich varieties. Blood pressure monitors, thermometers, oxygen concentrators, sputum suction machines, sterile cabinets, treatment carts... all common medical equipment in the treatment room are available.
There are about 19,000 standardized village clinics like the Nanzhuang Village Clinic in Guizhou. In recent years, Guizhou has introduced a number of policies to promote the standardized development of village clinics and the construction of a team of rural doctors.
